This Privacy Policy explains how Capriol Construction Services LLC, trading asWilmington Handyman Services ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit handymanserviceswilmington.com (the "Site") or request a free estimate. We are a home-services business based in Wilmington, North Carolina, serving New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties.

1. Information you give us

When you submit the free-estimate or contact form, we collect only what you enter:

  • Name — so we know who we're replying to.
  • Phone number — to call or text you back about the job.
  • Email address — to send your confirmation and estimate.
  • Address, neighborhood or ZIP code (optional) — to plan the visit.
  • Job description — what you need done.
  • Photos you choose to attach (optional) — to quote more accurately.
  • The page you submitted from — so we know what you were looking at.

Please don't include sensitive personal information (payment card numbers, government IDs, health information) in the form. We never ask for payment details through the Site.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring website, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This is used to keep the Site secure and to understand how it is used — not to identify you personally.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for two purposes:

  • Necessary — required for the Site to function and stay secure. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics and performance — set by Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager (see below) to measure traffic and improve the Site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to browse the Site or submit the estimate form.

4. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-MH5MJ7QW), a tag management system provided by Google, to load measurement tags on the Site. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal information; it manages the tags that do.

Through Google Tag Manager we run Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to report on how visitors use the Site — for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, roughly where visitors are located (city/region level), and which sites or ads referred them. We use these aggregated reports to improve the Site and understand which services people are looking for.

This information may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States and other countries. We have enabled IP anonymization where available, and we do not use these tools to identify individual visitors. Google may use the data in accordance with its own policies.

Most browsers also support a "Do Not Track" signal and, in some regions, a Global Privacy Control signal. We honor Global Privacy Control where it is legally required.

5. How we use your information

  • To respond to your request and prepare a free, no-obligation estimate.
  • To schedule, perform and follow up on work you ask us to do.
  • To keep records of jobs, quotes and communications.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site.
  • To comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We do not use your contact details for unrelated marketing, and we do not send newsletters or promotional email blasts unless you explicitly ask us to.

6. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as needed:

  • Hostinger — website hosting and email delivery for form submissions.
  • Google — Tag Manager and Analytics, as described above.
  • Professional advisers or authorities — where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

7. Photos you upload

Photos attached to the estimate form are emailed to us and used solely to understand and quote your job. We will not publish any photo of your property or completed work publicly (including on this Site or social media) without your explicit permission.

8. Data retention

We keep estimate requests and job records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements — typically no longer than seven years. Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see "Your rights").

9. Data security

The Site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We limit access to submitted information to the owner and staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do neither). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below — we will not discriminate against you for making a request.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults arranging home services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites, such as Google Maps or our social profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always appears on this page.
